(insider.foxnews.com)—Judge Jeanine Pirro said this morning it’s the “ultimate in hypocrisy” for former President Obama to accept $400,000 to speak to a Wall Street firm.
Fox Business Network’s Charlie Gasparino broke the story this week about Obama’s September speech on health care to Cantor Fitzgerald LP.
Obama’s spokesman issued a statement on the criticism of the planned speech, pushing back on the “hypocrisy” accusations.
Eric Schultz said in 2008, then-candidate Obama pulled in more money than any candidate in history, and went on to “implement the toughest reforms on Wall Street since FDR.”
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has since said she’s “troubled” by the arrangement, calling the influence of big money on politicians “a snake that slithers” through D.C.
