Hand Holding : First Lady Melania Trump
I think it is because for once I see something of myself, however briefly, in the cipher that is Melania Trump. When she closes her lips tight and appears almost to gulp as the president worms his way into a handhold, I feel perhaps a tiny fraction of what she may feel—not rage or deeply complicated emotions tied to being married to someone like Trump, just the disgust of holding hands with another adult. I hate it, and Melania appears to hate it too. – Jenni Avins, Quartz1

…just the disgust of holding hands with another adult. I hate it, and Melania appears to hate it too. – Jenni Avins, Quartz
“I hate it”?!
Listen to Jenni Avins, of Quartz and you will destroy any happiness in your marriage. Indeed, you will self-destruct happiness in your life as you will become bitter, bitchy and itchy for fights that are a waste of precious time.
It is possible that Mrs. Trump is simply nervous in public and thus tightens up so that hand-holding is a distraction and difficult for her. It is also possible the marriage of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Trump is null-n-void of any affection as true love can only come from the Living God. A Living God that neither President Donald Trump nor Melania Trump knows.
However, the real cringe-worthy moment is the reaction of, quote, “news” stories on this issue of hand-holding.
The publication of hand-holding, or lack, therefore, is creating a backwash of resentment and selfishness in women that will further destroy male-female relationships. Matters are bad enough with every Hollywood movie and NetFlix show portraying women as angry, bossy and bitchy to now destroy the simple act of hand-holding.
Such is the way of pride, ignorance, and self-centeredness.
The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down. (Proverbs 14:1)
[ Bonus Wisdom ]
Love comes from a holy God. Anything else is selfish lust doomed to emptiness, failure, and judgment.
Granted, loving President Donald Trump is impossible without the love that comes from God but it can be done.
If you desire to love in your marriage repent and seek the Living God. Do that and both the love and power to love will be worked in you.
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
