Americans consumed by anxiety…

“We see evidence of it all around us — in the increasingly stringent rules that public schools apply to our children; in the parallel phenomenon of helicopter parenting; in the trigger warnings and safe spaces proliferating on college campuses (and off campus as well); in the surge of prescriptions for anti-anxiety medication. You can even hear it in the tenor of online political debate, which often involves one group accusing another of displaying irrational anxiety about this or that sociocultural trend. (“You sure are a poor, pathetic snowflake.” “No, you’re the real snowflake!”)” – [American anxiety]

  • “Still, today’s anxiousness feels different — more acute, more pervasive, more deeply woven into the very fabric of our lives and world.” – [American anxiety]

Really, you think today’s anxiety is different?

Really you had to ask if the anxiety is different after the media, compliments of the Supreme Court’s wholesale destruction of anything wholesome?

Like Prosecutors, who first help create the problem then bill themselves as the solution to the terrible turmoil created. Add to that that now the media that flooded the land with filth, lies and hype, everyone can now be anxious about being anxious.

God is giving America what she is asking for because America, in the church or out, individuals are refusing to repent and obey everything Jesus taught.

Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.

You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.  In the morning you will say, “If only it were evening!” and in the evening, “If only it were morning!”—because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.

The LORD will send you back in ships to Egypt on a journey I said you should never make again. There you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you. Deuteronomy 28:65-68

Peace, lasting peace only comes from the Holy Spirit of God. Fact is, peace is exactly what God is about. Trouble is most want their sin, desire to justify their sin and are more than willing to trade the Truth for the lies in their life. Most would rather lean on fun, drink, drugs or experts rather than the Living God who alone has the power to fill a life with peace.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

As a sub-note:

There are not “increasingly stringent rules” in public school; there are in truth, fewer rules with greater indulgence towards children. Thus the rebellion and need for “zero” tolerance trigger laws. When things go bad in public school, they go really bad because small rules are not in place.

The evidence is children now rule the courts, the home and the public schools with good parents being de-throned hourly.

Fact is the United States is three generations into children who have grown up to be children in leadership.

Today’s Conservatism was yesterdays Liberalism, and today’s Liberalism is tomorrows Lawlessness. [ See Prosecutors Office of Seattle, King County Washington State ]

All of this is leading to the judgment God promised.

Goodness public school are in a quandary about his and her bathrooms. No one in public schools seems able to discern where to pee let alone self-discipline themselves so that there might be a measure of peace in the land.

“I will make mere youths their officials; children will rule over them.” Isaiah 3:4

Indeed, there are not enough small rules enforced to produce zero need for zero tolerance rules.
