31mph Speed Limit

31mph Speed Limit

“Motorcyclists also take advantage of Acquetico’s “ideal asphalt, good width, [and] continuous bends” to stage races between larger towns on the route, he said.” – [ Mamma Mia! Tiny Italian town catches 58,000 speeding in two weeks ]

First thought, who has a 31 speed limit? Then discovered it was 50 kmph in Italy.

In the end it reminded me of a special driver  who drove like a “madman” that God chose to throw down Jezebel unto her prophetic death.

Again the watchman reported, “He reached them but hasn’t started back. Also, the driving is like that of Jehu son of Nimshi—he drives like a madman.” 2 Kings 9:20

“Jezebel is a figure of the Hebrew Bible, described in the Book of Kings (1 Kings 16:31) as a queen who was the daughter of Ithobaal I of Sidon and the wife of Ahab, King of Israel.[2]

According to the Books of Kings in the Hebrew Bible, Jezebel incited her husband King Ahab to abandon the worship of Yahweh and encourage worship of the deities Baal and Asherah instead. Jezebel persecuted the prophets of Yahweh, and fabricated evidence of blasphemy against an innocent landowner who refused to sell his property to King Ahab, causing the landowner to be put to death. For these transgressions against the God and people of Israel, Jezebel met a gruesome death—thrown out of a window by members of her own court retinue, and the flesh of her corpse eaten by stray dogs. ” – [ Jezebel – Wikipedia ]

Again the watchman reported, “He reached them but hasn’t started back. Also, the driving is like that of Jehu son of Nimshi—he drives like a madman.” 2 Kings 9:20

When Jehu came to Jezreel, Jezebel heard of it; she painted her eyes, and adorned her head, and looked out of the window.  As Jehu entered the gate, she said, “Is it peace, Zimri, murderer of your master?”  He looked up to the window and said, “Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked out at him.

He said, “Throw her down.” So they threw her down; some of her blood spattered on the wall and on the horses, which trampled on her.  Then he went in and ate and drank; he said, “See to that cursed woman and bury her; for she is a king’s daughter.”

But when they went to bury her, they found no more of her than the skull and the feet and the palms of her hands.

When they came back and told him, he said, “This is the word of the LORD, which he spoke by his servant Elijah the Tishbite, ‘In the territory of Jezreel the dogs shall eat the flesh of Jezebel;  the corpse of Jezebel shall be like dung on the field in the territory of Jezreel, so that no one can say, This is Jezebel.’” 2 Kings 9:30-37
