The Professor (2018 film)
[ Reviewed Unto Righteousness Below ]
Sin has the effect of making one stupefied as defined.
Stupefy, to put into a state of little or no sensibility; benumb the faculties of.
Consider the sermon of a movie entitled The Professor starring Johnny Depp. After all movies today are sermons against holiness, not mere entertainment.
When having advance notice that The Professor is about to face the judgment of God instead of humbling himself, pleading sorrow for sins and repenting throws his last energies to live his life as boldly and freely as possible with a biting sense of humor, a reckless streak, and a touch of madness.
Yea, always meet a holy God with a touch of madness ~ that should work.
- “Richard is a world-weary college professor who is given a life-changing terminal diagnosis and decides to throw all pretense and conventions to the wind and live his life as boldly and freely as possible with a biting sense of humor, a reckless streak, and a touch of madness.” – The Professor
It is dreadful to fall into the hands of the living God.
The message of this movie is when preparing to die abandon all that is holy, good and righteous while plunging into wanton sinning. Haven’t seen the movie but anyone want to bet that The Professor has a friend who engages in sodomy that he apologies to for looking down on such sinful behavior?
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
