Democratic Debate : Meaningless

“MIAMI — Roughly half of the Democratic 2020 presidential field tried to draw distinctions between themselves during the primary cycle’s opening debate. But the first candidates to walk onto the stage only timidly criticized the man they are seeking to replace, President Trump, and largely ignored the race’s current front-runner.

Cory Booker, Julián Castro, Bill de Blasio, John Delaney, Tulsi Gabbard, Jay Inslee, Amy Klobuchar, Beto O’Rourke, Tim Ryan, and Elizabeth Warren took center stage at the Democratic National Committee’s first debate, at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami late Wednesday. They were the first 10 contenders to introduce themselves to the country over the course of the two-night series. But the group tiptoed around the two men casting the longest shadows over the contest: President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

Biden, a senator from Delaware for 36 years before running successfully with President Barack Obama, leads in virtually all polls to date. ”

It doesn’t matter what any Democratic candidate mouths-off about as one cannot be a Christian and a Democrat.

Any church that has a Democratic “Christian” as a member is in serious need of some table-turning.

The rabid pro-baby killing entrenchment by the Democratic Party makes any other political position and false promises meaningless.

Murder advocates should never be given any respect unless they repent.

And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen something horrible:

They commit adultery and live a lie.

They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns from his wickedness.

They are all like Sodom to me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah.”

(Jeremiah 23:14)

From the fact that The Seattle Times is all for Satanist Kindergarten to the Democrats have become like Sodom and Gomorrah to a holy God.

“Trans rights appeared in a debate for the first time

Mr. Booker was the first presidential debate candidate to reference protecting the rights of transgender people. Mr. Castro followed up shortly thereafter.

The discussion was another significant breakthrough for the transgender community, which in recent years has been rocked by so-called bathroom bans in North Carolina and other parts of the country and by President Trump’s rollback of Obama-era rules that banned discrimination against transgender people in the military.

The shout-outs by Mr. Booker and Mr. Castro also served as attempts to endear them to the party’s most progressive activists, who see L.G.B.T. rights as a civil-rights issue akin to racial and gender equality.

It’s a striking contrast from the last elections when each of the 2016 Republican candidates stressed their opposition to L.G.B.T. rights — and even the Democratic candidates in 2008 when no candidate endorsed gay marriage.

“One came from Washington Gov Jay Inslee, who claimed during a rapid-fire question segment that ‘the biggest threat to the security of the United States is Donald Trump.’

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio hinted that Trump’s soft-glove approach to Moscow presents its own unique dangers.

Russia, he said, is the biggest threat, ‘because they’re trying to undermine our democracy and they’ve been doing a pretty damned good job of it and we need to stop them.’

But illegal immigrants and asylum-seekers drove much of the early fireworks.

Booker said he would ‘reinstate pathways to citizenship for DACA recipients’ and pull back ICE agents from ‘creating fear in cities all across this country.'”

(washingtonexaminer.com)—“On the biggest stage of his political career Wednesday night, Gov. Jay Inslee at times seemed invisible.

More than half of the first Democratic primary debate in Miami passed by without a question on the subject on which he has staked his presidential candidacy: The looming climate-change crisis. When it did come up, the discussion lasted less than seven minutes in the two-hour debate.

And even on other topics, from guns to health care to immigration, Inslee was largely sidelined as moderators returned again and again to better-known candidates, including Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke and New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker.

Others, like New York Mayor Bill de Blasio and even little-known Ohio Rep. Tim Ryan, bulled their way into the fray by speaking out of turn and were rewarded with extra time.

Inslee, positioned near the right end of the stage, repeatedly raised his hand and pointed his index finger to try to get called on, only to be passed over.”
